This Makita Li-ion battery rapid charger is designed for the 40Vmax series and uses an intelligent digital “Smart System” that optimizes communication between tool, battery, and charger to deliver maximum power. Dual cooling fans for both the battery and charging circuit maintain high-speed charging performance, even during continuous use.
Enjoy fast charge times of approximately 28 minutes for a full charge and about 19 minutes for practical use with BL4025 (around 80% capacity). With the optional ADP10 adapter (sold separately), it can also charge 14.4V and 18V lithium-ion batteries (excluding light batteries). One USB output port (5V/2.4A) allows you to power USB devices while charging without reducing charging speed. Compatible example charge times: BL4025 approx. 19 min (practical) / 28 min (full), BL4040 approx. 31 min / 45 min, BL1860B approx. 27 min / 40 min when used with ADP10 and batteries marked with the snow symbol.
The unit operates on AC single-phase 100V and is certified with the PSE mark under Japan’s Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law. Compact and robust, it measures approximately 156 mm (L) × 210 mm (W) × 84 mm (H) and weighs about 1.1 kg, making it easy to transport between job sites.
