Redesigned blade mounting increases rigidity and extends blade life to about 2.5 times that of previous Makita tools. Compatible with 18V and 14.4V slide-type Li-ion batteries (battery and charger sold separately), it offers a cutting capacity of W3/8 full-thread (mild steel and stainless) and M10 full-thread (mild steel, with genuine optional blade), and can cut about 1,500 pieces of W3/8 stainless full-thread (SUS304) per charge using a BL1860B battery.
