This version also includes a special M2 gadget. The game's director and main programmer, Tsunemoto Ikeda (alias IKD), is responsible for establishing the "Bullet Barrage Shooter" genre and creating almost all of Cave's "bullet hell shooters", including "Ketsui" and "Dodonpachi". The game also features a BGM set arranged by Jake "virt" Kaufman, who created the background music for the "Shanti" series and "Shovel Knight".
