Piano Ballads (2-CD Set) - Jacob Collier
Product Description
This 2CD set is the first live album from Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Jacob Collier, featuring approximately 100 minutes of intimate piano-and-vocal performances captured on his world tour. Previously available only as a digital release, Piano Ballads: Live From Djesse World Tour 2022 now appears as a Japan-exclusive CD edition with special paper sleeve packaging.
Collier, a five-time Grammy Award winner and Album of the Year nominee for Djesse Vol. 3, selected unique live takes where he performed beloved cover songs solo at the piano, often building improvised arrangements together with the audience as a choir. The tracklist focuses on timeless classics everyone knows, including Queen’s “Somebody To Love,” ABBA’s “Dancing Queen,” The Beatles’ “Let It Be,” and James Taylor’s “Carolina In My Mind.”
Reflecting on the project, Collier describes these 11 tracks as some of his favorite “postcards” from the tour, born from the joy and comfort he has always found sitting at the piano and improvising. This special edition celebrates that spontaneous connection with fans worldwide, arriving to coincide with his sold-out return to Japan.
