Product Description
This thumb-operated trackball "IST" features an ergonomic design that allows for comfortable and smooth operation. The shape is designed to fit naturally in the hand without the need to grip, accommodating various hand sizes and grips. This design helps reduce wrist strain, making it ideal for long hours of use.
The support unit incorporates a 2mm-diameter artificial ruby, providing a more natural and smooth manipulation of the ball compared to conventional products. The support unit is easily removable and can be replaced with either artificial ruby or bearings. Replacement units (M-RS10 for artificial ruby and M-BS10 for bearings) are sold separately.
The trackball is equipped with five buttons, including "forward" and "back" buttons, which are particularly useful for web browsing and folder navigation. Button functions can be customized using the free downloadable "Elecom Mouse Assistant".
The wireless design allows for immediate use by simply plugging the receiver into a USB port on a PC. The receiver can be stored in the main unit, making it convenient to carry and reducing the risk of loss. A power switch on the top of the main unit enables easy power ON/OFF, preventing battery drain when not in use. Additionally, a battery level indicator lamp alerts you when it's time to replace the batteries.
